Directing
Mikayla Gold Benson is a director, actor, and writer from Northern New Jersey. As the daughter of two musicians, she developed a deep love for the arts, beginning with violin and later expanding to theatre. A published author and poet, Mikayla blends her passion for storytelling with her creative pursuits, studying Theatre at Barnard College and the British American Drama Academy.
Mikayla has directed a range of productions, from This Is Our Youth to Medea. She is currently in rehearsal for her Senior Thesis production of Antigone. Her work also extends to collaborations within the Elif Collective in directing, dramaturgy, and acting.
Benson's work is dynamic, sharp and with a focus on female ensemble work; she is dedicated to bold storytelling and cultivating a collaborative environment for all members to discover and celebrate the impacts of live theatre.
